A Week in Pictures
After a week of not feeling well, I’m trying something a little different for today’s blog post. Little glimpses into my life…
The book I’m currently reading is Ahdaf Soueif’s The Map of Love. This quote at the start of chapter 5 reminded me of a Pablo Neruda poem (Sonnet XVII) that is special to me. ❤
I captured this sunset as Andrew and I left the fitness center last Monday. When I showed him the image, he called it “the eye of Sauron.” 🙂It poured down rain Tuesday morning. But by afternoon, the Atlantic had transformed into a dream-like scene.I woke up very early on Wednesday morning feeling awful. Food poisoning! By afternoon, I thought I was on the mend. Nearly a week later, I’m just starting to feel myself again. (This photo also showed me how badly in need I was of an eyebrow waxing! LOL)
On Thursday, Andrew came home with flu symptoms: fever, chills, aches, cough, and sneezing. Lots of sneezing! LOL Sick as he was feeling, though, he still serenaded me with some beautiful guitar music! ❤
I mentioned my waxing needs. 😉 My lady Jojo takes care of me at The Spa at the Royal Grand Hotel. I love that place!
We are approaching election day in Liberia (October 10 for the first round of elections), and rallies happen every weekend. We were lucky to JUST get ahead of this one on our way home on Saturday.
Um, you’re not allowed to look that nice when you’re sick. Fake news! 😂 Just kidding. I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to say, “Fake News!”
